US Virgin Islands National Park- This 7,000+ acre protected island is easily accessible from St. Thomas. Included in the state park boundaries is about 5,650 acres of protected underwater habitats. On a day trip to the park, you can expect see mostly coastal and marine ecosystems including mangroves, salt ponds and of course, coral reefs.
Fort Christian- A great way to mix a little local history into your Virgin Island vacation is to pay a visit to this historical site. Fort Christian was built in 1676 by an expeditionary force from Denmark. Over the years, the fort has been damaged and repair throughout the years since its construction. Today, you can tour the fort and view various exhibits. Admission cost is modest and varies throughout the year.
Diving in the Virgin Islands- Whether you’re a diving newbie or an old salty-dog, the Virgin Islands offer some of the best diving on the planet. For the newbies, dive certification class are offer by dive masters all over the islands. More-experienced divers can enjoy more advanced dives to ship wrecks and deep waters.
